Abstract
On the occasion of the bicentenary of the 1821 Greek Revolution and following the initiative of the Ministry of National Defence and the assistance/participation of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Athens War Museum and the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece, under the auspices of the Greece 2021 Committee, the action “The museum goes to school” was carried out in 17 cities. The philosophy of the specific activity included the creation of two independent exhibitions in existing military areas or in emblematic buildings of the relevant municipalities, with the aim of presenting selected historical exhibits, artefacts and other educational material of the War Museum to primary and secondary school students of the country.
