Abstract
The Society for Hellenism and Philhellenism commemorates and honours in the Museum of Philhellenism approximately 1,600 emblematic philhellenes who offered their services and often even their lives for the liberation of Greece. The 8th resolution of the 4th National Assembly in Argos called for the erection of two monuments for the philhellenes. One for those killed in Greece and one for those who participated in the fight. The above decision was unfortunately left unimplemented until 2021.The Society for Hellenism and Philhellenism (EEF) fulfils the debt of gratitude by erecting the monument. For this purpose, EEF signed a cooperation agreement with the Athens War Museum. According to this contract, the memorial will be erected at the site of the War Museum on Vasilissis Sofias Street.
