The project aims to investigate and interpret the processes that led to the abandonment of settlements in the Peloponnese from the 18th to the 20th century and to document cartographically all the abandoned residential sites, offering an open access, complete, analytical and scientific documented list of the settlements that were deserted. In the context of the project, the effects of population movements and long-term military operations on the residential network of the region in the period 1821-1832 will also be studied.
