Abstract
To mark the feast day and national day of March 25 and in the context of the bicentenary of the Greek Revolution, the Holy Diocese of Veria, Naoussa and Kampania hosts an online talk on “The Mighty General of the Greek Nation”. The event is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God and of all Christians, who blessed the fighters of 1821 and led them, with her help, to freedom. The speaker emphasises the nature of the double celebration, of the annunciation and the anniversary of the beginning of the revolution but also the help of the Virgin Mary in difficult times of Greece. The event is a national and religious call among the Greeks, but also a eulogy for the Virgin Mary.
