Abstract
Playmobil figures are “dressed” in Greek traditional costumes from Greece, the Balkans and Asia Minor and are transformed into PlaymoGreek by Petros Kaminiotis.
In an intervention in the exhibition space of the Lazaros Koundouriotis Historical Mansion in Hydra, a branch of the National History Museum, 30 PlaymoGreek from the collection of the National History Museum are presented. The figures are juxtaposed with the original costumes of the Museum, which served as models for their creation and are permanent museum exhibits.
PlaymoGreek are the original work of Petros Kaminiotis, who using simple materials (paper, fabric) “dresses” Playmobil figures with miniatures of Greek traditional costumes, turning them into figurines.
