Abstract
Vangelis Karamanolakis talks with Dimitris Psarras about Rigas Velestinlis and his vision. On the occasion of his recent book How did Rigas think? Returning to the sources (Polis, 2020), Psarras presents the revolutionary Rigas, a Rigas that constantly talks, is influenced and acts in the context of European revolutionary movements and enlightenment ideas. He also refers to the reception of Rigas Velestinlis by later Greek historiography and points out the timeliness of his message, a message which still impresses with its radicalism and liberating character.
