Abstract
Teen Look, the student theatre group of the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation (MCF), comprises ten students from different schools. The students studied historical and literary sources, talked to experts and artists and, with the coordination of their teacher Natasha Mercouri, created a theatrical performance – a proposal for teaching the subject of history. On the occasion of the organisation of the school celebration for the March 25th national day, the teenagers asked questions about the role of individuals, groups and institutions in the Greek Revolution, discussed the emphasis given by school history to specific voices and perspectives of the revolution, but also the shadows that cover the actions of individuals and collectives. At the end of the screening of the play, there was a discussion about the teaching methods and the meaning of the Greek Revolution.
