Abstract
The events and persons that led to the beginning of the 1821 Revolution, but also the course for the birth of the Greek state, are presented by the new production of Cosmote TV, “Upright freedom”. The three episodes of the documentary series bring to light for the first time rare documents from the Greek Parliament Archives and its exhibitions, as well as from Odessa, Nafplio, Aegina, Corfu and Velestino, where the shooting took place. The script and the editing were overseen by the journalist Giorgos Lianis, while actress Koralia Karanti narrates.
