Abstract

This discussion addresses the formation of the cultural and political relation between the Greek nation-state and, firstly, the Greek-Cypriot community (and Cypriot society at large) and, subsequently, the Cypriot state, within the historical context of colonialism and decolonisation. The discussants will direct their attention to matters related to education, political history, and language.
