Abstract

Using its collections, the Library of the Greek Parliament participates in the bicentenary of the Greek Revolution by documenting, utilising and making accessible its collections, openly and equally to all. This presentation, the second in a series, is mainly informative in nature, in a departure from previous events. It has a practical character and was a timely initiative. Its purpose is to give a tour of the digital sources of the Library. According to the speaker, the written sources are also considered monuments and, along with works of art, are thus a source of knowledge and inspiration. They can offer varied and important information. The second part of the presentation comprises an introduction to the website of the digital library for 1821 and a tour of its digital sources.
