Abstract
The Holy Diocese of Karystia and Skyros and the Municipality of Kymi-Aliveri organise, under the auspices of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, a festive event with the theme “Heroes of Karystia”. The day is dedicated to the hero Nikolaos Krieziotis and the two topics presented by the speakers are “The catalytic contribution of the proud and pious chief Nikolaos Kriezotis and the abbots and monks of the Holy Monasteries in the shaking off of the Ottoman yoke and the liberation of Evia” and “The contribution of the Island of Evia to the 1821 Revolution”. Following is a music program by the choir of music teacher Mr. Georgios Hatzichronoglou and finally a message from the Holy Synod.
