Abstract
Urban Road Transport SA honours the bicentenary of the 1821 Greek Revolution. As the year came to an end, the company decorated two buses with the works of artist Stefanos Nanopoulos (aka Nano) which are dominated by three elements, inspired by the heroic uprising of the Greeks: The tsarouchi, the tsolias and young Souliots, while the hearts symbolise the love of the Greeks for the sacrifices of their ancestors. The selection of the works was made in collaboration with the art historian and visual consultant Maria Migadi.
