Abstract
A musical performance that emphasises the bravery, the courage but also the resistance of the 1821 fighters. Tender and uplifting, refreshing like a breeze and fiery like the revolution itself. Speech meets music to tell a story together. Our history. In the performance “Music and love of speech”, the actress Panagiota Vlanti recites excerpts from characteristic texts of the national uprising, while a group of renowned musicians and singers perform lyric works by Greek and foreign composers, Byzantine tracks and folk songs.
