Abstract
The beginning of the new season takes place with a special meeting, that of the active group of Bijoux de Kant with the heroic drama Achilles (1804), by Athanasios Christopoulos, which explores and renegotiates the concept of Greekness and collectivity through the myth of rage of Achilles in Agamemnon. The advantageous behaviour of the former on the one hand and the pride and selfishness of the latter on the other endanger the forces of the Greek army and the successful outcome of the Trojan War until their coveted reconciliation comes. Composing the materials of an “old theatricality”, immersed in the roots of modern Greek speech and ancient Greek mythology, Bijoux de Kant approaches the heroic drama through a bittersweet sense but also a comic and light look touching on some of the basics issues of modern history.
