Abstract
Rizes Publications announces the release of Petros Papapolyviou's book, Aspects and Refractions of the Cypriot 1821: People, Plans and Shadows (Nicosia 2022).
The book is released after the completion of the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution, but it was born and formed as a publishing idea before 2021. It is not the history of the Cypriot contribution to the revolution, but a synthesis of studies, both on the participation of Cyprus in 1821, as well as on its echo and symbolism in the island, in the last two centuries. Apart from the Prologue, Introduction and Indexes, it consists of four parts and the Addendum, and a total of 14 subchapters.
