Abstract
First publication of a conversation on the radio between historians K. Th. Dimaras and Philippos Iliou. The show, entitled “The ideological preparation of the Revolution” was broadcast in March 1982 as part of the series of educational and informative programs of the First Program of Greek Radio for the 1821 anniversary. The recorded evidence is preserved in the archive of Giorgos Zevelakis “Voices” (https://youtu.be/hgFNxGMl0Ro)
In the addendum, entitled ‘Mismatched helmets’, Yiannis Papatheodorou, associate professor of the University of Patras, makes a thorough review of the relationship between Dimaras (1904-1992) and Iliou (1931-2004), as well as the various interpretations of the Greek Revolution.
