Abstract
The 1st Regional Centre for Educational Planning of the South Aegean, on the occasion of the bicentenary of the 1821 Revolution, organized with the support of the Regional Directorate of Education an online conference on “The 1821 Revolution and the Cyclades”. The speakers–researchers dealt with each island society separately both during the period of Turkish rule and during the revolutionary years, studying the participation (or abstention) of each island in the revolutionary actions, the characteristics that they had but also the factors that shaped them.
