Abstract
"As part of the events to celebrate the 200th anniversary of 1821, the SNFCC restores to the Agora the horizontal section at a height of 40 cm of the base of the Zalongos Monument, which was presented for the first time in January 2019 in the exhibition "George Zongolopoulos "The vision of a public sculpture". The Zalogos Monument of George Zongolopoulos is a unique case of monumental sculpture in a public space in our country. A construction feat for the Greek data of the 50's as it took 6 years (1954-1960) and 4,300 limestone volumes to complete insitu on Mount Zaloggo, the composition of six female figures of Zongolopoulos is imposed on the landscape from 1961, visible even in distance of 30 kilometers."
