Abstract

The speaker mentions the position, role and participation of women in the revolution. She shows there was female heroism even though women were the victims of the war. They were the weakest links in the conflicts of the war and for this reason few dealt with them. They transported materials, built fortifications, cared for the sick, cultivated the land. She also mentions the different position of women before and after the revolution, and also the differences between urban women and those of the countryside. Many anonymous women helped in the struggle as did famous ones. The speaker emphasises their special role in the revolution, which was supportive and auxiliary.
