Abstract
This talk describes the situation that prevailed in the Ottoman Empire after since 1812, where many local uprisings and battles took place.
At a time of transformation of the Ottoman Empire, the Greeks started the revolution. Ali Pasha lost his soldiers, was abandoned by the officers and sought mercenaries. The speaker mentions the files he consulted, important documents and sources such as imperial decrees, notebooks, registers, etc. One of the major themes he found is the failed attempt of the Sublime Porte to incite the Albanians against the Greeks.
