Abstract
The Municipality of Didymoteicho and the Kastropolites Historical and Cultural Association–Knowledge and Action host an online event entitled “Kastrinos Dialogues” that focuses on information about the history and culture of our country on the occasion of the bicentenary of 1821. The speaker answers a series of questions about the continuation of Hellenism from the Byzantine Empire until the revolution, the church’s contribution to the preservation of national identity, the Philiki Etaireia and the beginning of the revolution, Hellenism and its personalities and heroes revolution. Finally, he identifies the messages of 1821 as confidence in our strengths, overcoming divisions and hope and optimism for the future.
