Abstract

The exhibition includes more than 300 objects related to the 1821 Revolution and the philhellenic movement in Europe and America. Their variety is impressive: weapons and archival material from revolutionary Greece but also useful objects (clocks, fans, vases, etc.), works of art (paintings, engravings, etc.) and luxury objects with representations of heroes and scenes of the struggle from the European and American salons of the 19th century.
