Abstract

The bicentenary of the 1821 Greek Revolution was the reason for the artist Theodoros Kokkinidis to create two new wax effigies, historical personalities of that period, enriching even more the wax museum of effigies in Kipia, Kavala, in the municipality of Pangeo. Theodoros Kolokotronis and Laskarina Bouboulina are the two heroic personalities of the struggle for liberation, which he created in his workshop, thus inaugurating a circle with creations of well-known persons who marked the Greek Revolution.
