Abstract
As part of the bicentenary marking the beginning of the Greek Revolution, the Youth Centre of the Holy Metropolis of Lefkada and Ithaca hosts an online event entitled “Around our Great ’21”. The 13th event aims to examine the timeless stable characteristics of the constitutional tradition, which is remarkable and rich in our country. The speaker in his introduction mentions how geography and geopolitics can influence the politics of each country, two parameters that are reflected in the constitutional tradition. He then analyses the constitutional situation of Greece since 1822, the parties seeking their legitimacy to take over the leadership of the struggle, the contradictions between them (educated vs armatoles). In the second part of his speech he mentions the current political situation of Greece, elections at various times, majority parliamentarism and ends with specific conclusions.
