Abstract
Vangelis Karamanolakis talks with Pantelis Boukalas about the 1821 Revolution, on the occasion of the preparations for its bicentenary. The recent republishing of memoirs of revolutionary fighters, their speeches and narratives, as well as the expectations and strategies of their authors, are intertwined with folk, kleftika and historical songs in a discussion about the experiences of the people of the struggle, but also the myths, with which they were invested over time.
