Abstract
“A conversation with Porfyras by Dionysios Solomos. Selected excerpts from the poem are examined for their relationship to the forces of nature and transformed on stage through performance. The mortal nature of man in the face of life, the smells but also the dangers of nature. Language as an expression of creation and utopia but also of death and destruction. Language as a preparation for an alternative future where technology overturns mortality, claiming a different balance between nature and man. The Porphyry of Dionysios Solomos in dialogue with texts by Konstantinos Papacharalambos, in a performance that explores the relationship between language and nature.” (Philippi Festival)
