Abstract
The Association of Philologists of Kozani, honouring the bicentenary of the declaration of the 1821 Revolution, hosts a series of online discussions entitled “1821: Local and international aspects of the Revolution”, under the auspices of the Region of Western Macedonia. The aim of the event is to present the personality and life of the Philiki Etairea member Georgios Lassanis, who had as a vision the liberation of Greece. He served in high positions, from the time of Ypsilantis to Otto, in order to prepare for the struggle. He distinguished himself for his rich intellectual, political and literary activity but also for his active participation in the revolution.
