Abstract

The Association of Philologists of Kozani, honouring the bicentenary of the declaration of the 1821 Revolution, hosts a series of online discussions entitled “1821: Local and international aspects of the Revolution”, under the auspices of the Region of Western Macedonia. This talk presents and analyses the actions of the two leaders of the revolutions and the events that led to the conflict between Alexandros Ypsilantis and Tudor Vladimirescu, which was inevitable. The speaker also presents the way in which the above conflict took place in Bucharest and mentions the consequences it had for the population of the Wallachian capital.
