Abstract

Manto Mavrogenous: Journey to freedom of a rebellious soul” is a documentary by Georgia Bitakou about the life, work and action of the heroine of the 1821 Revolution, the only woman with the title of lieutenant general. The documentary travels to the areas where the great revolutionary Manto was born, fought and was involved. Manto’s descendants and the leading actress Katia Dandoulaki feature in the documentary.
