Abstract
This book studies the relationship of the great British philosopher and jurist Jeremy Bentham with the first Greek revolutionary governments and the Constitution of Epidaurus. At the invitation of Greek leaders, Bentham intervened in Greek affairs by sending essays and letters aimed at adapting the Greek Constitution, so that the newly formed state would not slip into a form of authoritarian rule of elected rulers over the citizens.
