Abstract
The Laboratory of Technology, Research and Applications in Education of the Democritus University of Thrace will hold an online seminar entitled “Researching 1821 through digital archives” on Tuesday, 28 September 2021 (18.30-20.30). Yannis Gonidis, PhD Candidate in Modern History, University of Crete, will give a talk entitled: “‘These documents were returned and shall remain in the archive until they are requested again.’ Digital repositories for the history of the Greek Revolution.” Athena Syriatou, Assistant Professor of European History, Department of History and Ethnology, Democritus University of Thrace, and Kyriakos Sgouropoulos, PhD Computer Engineering, Laboratory Teaching Staff, Department of History and Ethnology, Democritus University of Thrace, will talk on “Creating a digital observatory for the Greek Revolution”. The meeting will be chaired by Angelos Palikidis, Associate Professor, Lab Director, Department of History and Ethnology, Democritus University of Thrace.
