Abstract
The contribution of the assemblies to the beginning of the Greek Revolution and to the subsequent operation of the new state is presented by the new documentary series, “The assemblies and the constitutions of the struggle”. Starting with the pre-revolutionary assemblies, the new docudrama, co-produced by Cosmote TV, records how the Greeks tried to form a central administration in order to better coordinate the conduct of their struggle. Then, the series presents how the first constitutions were voted through the national assemblies, reaching the building of the independent Greek state. The series is directed by the award-winning Stamatis Tsarouchas, while in the main roles we meet the actors: Renos Haralambidis (Alexandros Mavrokordatos), Nikos Pantelidis (Theodoros Negris), Michalis Angelopoulos (Grigorios Dikaos/Papaflessas) and Andrea Giannopoulos (Paleon Patron Germanos).
