Abstract
As part of its series of talks on 1821, the Iakovatios Library held its 11th online discussion on the topic “The protagonists of the other side: The Ottoman world in the years of the Revolution”. The speaker presents the “other side” of the revolution from the side of the Ottomans, citing the profile of the Ottoman Empire, the power structures and the way they were governed. It then provides information on Ottoman society and way of life, its regime and practices. The source of information for the speaker was the bibliographic research and the Turkish media.
