Abstract
The exhibition “Unstoppable light”, by the painter Melina Gialama, is a pleasant surprise. The faithful depiction of the heroic figures, next to the traditional women’s clothes and the fustanella, generously offer the aroma and the colour of the 1821 Revolution ... The fustanella, the palasques and the medullaris (grease box), are depicted realistically, with the fustanella not freshly ironed, as the painters of heroic figures of the 1821 present it, but as it was, crumpled and soiled.
