Abstract
Arare sea music voyage to all the historic ports of the Mediterranean, a symbolic musical voyage that wants to unite the peoples of all countries, whose beaches are bathed by the waters of the Mediterranean, to remind us of common roots and origins, common goals and aspirations, to inspire hope, solidarity and optimism for the future. Athena Routsi, with her wonderful expressive voice, interprets known and unknown songs of the sea in 16 languages and dialects of the Mediterranean (Greek, French, Spanish, Neapolitan, Palestinian, Lebanese, Sephardic, Hebrew, Egyptian, Moroccan, Albanian, Cypriot, Egyptian, Smyrniot, Griko, Turkish, etc.) and travels us from Marseilles, Genoa and the Bosphorus to Haifa, Alexandria and Piraeus, accompanied by important musicians.
