Abstract
The Ottoman Late 18th century was the scene of the emergence of centrifugal forces of local lords and officials, who threatened the sovereignty of the capital. At the same time, the era of revolutions was in full swing. In this historical context, the speaker takes a tour of the region of Western Greece with an emphasis on Ottoman monuments, which are related to Ali Pasha of Ioannina and through this example he monitors the phenomenon of powerful rulers and the revolution. Reference is made to the cities of Ioannina, Konitsa, Arta, Lefkada and the castles of Teke, Agios Georgios Plagias and Akti in Aetolia-Acarnania.
