Abstract

This online academic conference on developments in research on the Greek Revolution is part of the Program of Synodal and Regional Events of the Church of Greece marking the bicentenary of the Greek Revolution. The Library of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, in collaboration with the Special Synodal Committee for Cultural Identity of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, is organising it, in the presence of His Beatitude Ieronymos II, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece. The topics include: “Two hundred years and our self-consciousness”, “The geopolitical dimensions of the Greek Revolution”, “Which state did the 1821 Revolution envision?”, “The strategy of the revolutionary battles on land and at sea” and “The attitude of the Great Powers to the Greek struggle”.
