Abstract
The Holy Metropolis of Zakynthos, through the Alithos centre of the Parish of Vanato within the framework of the online lecture series marking the bicentenary of the National Uprising of 1821, is organising a series of talks on the Greek Revolution. The second talk in the series is dedicated to Dionysios Solomos. The speaker refers to the enduring impact of Solomos’ poems, which is why many praise him as a unique phenomenon, as Elytis was.
