Abstract
Talk by His Eminence Panteleimonos, Metropolitan of Veria, Naoussa and Kampania, within the framework of the series of talks on “Blood of Martyrs and Heroes” marking the bicentenary of the 1821 Greek Revolution. His third talk, “Saint Cosmas of Aetolia, the national apostle,” deals with the life and work of the saint and his great contribution to the freedom of the homeland. He was a teacher of the nation who engaged in missionary work, he confronted Islamism and awakened Hellenism with his sermons.
