Abstract
The exhibition "1821–2021" includes characteristic samples of 19th-century Greek painting, created by foreign artists who were in the country after the liberation. Among the Athenian landscapes, the scenes with palikars, the philhellenic objects and the portraits, stand out the important creations of Theodoros Vryzakis and the 21 portraits of Greek fighters and philhellenes from the authentic album published by the Bavarian officer Karl Krazeisen.
