Abstract
A journey to the 1821 Revolution through artworks. Great artists, from Nikolaos Gyzis and Theofilos to Delacroix, captured the heroism of the people who fought, the facts and the history, sometimes with realism and sometimes with symbolic references. Participants will explore and discover the secrets hidden in great artworks, while learning to interpret and observe the elements and ways of expression used by each artist. They will then look through examples of how they can work on art-based activities with their students.
