Abstract
The students of the 1st Kindergarten of Atalanti celebrated the bicentenary of the Greek Revolution, creating artworks both for the struggle and the victories, but also for the religious celebration of the Annunciation. They dealt, in particular, with Rigas Feraios and his “Thourios”, the costume of the tsolias, folk songs and the everyday life of the Greeks during the years of Ottoman rule. An important source was Eugenia Fakinou’s book “The Greeks”. They also focused on the events of the Atalanti region, participating in the educational program “The imprint of 1821 in my homeland” and created their own play, based on the information and experiences they gathered.
