Abstract
The film “Wind of Freedom 1821” was presented for the first time by the University of Peloponnese and the Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Kalamata Faris in Kalamata. A researcher, paper conservator studies chromolithographs and old books, and through questions to historians, discovers evidence for the creation of popular readings and illustrations about the Greek Revolution, created in the 19th century. Through them, the action of Frixos Filonas, an imaginary senior member of the Philiki Etaireia, unfolds in the pre-revolutionary Peloponnese. Through the story of Filonas, who travels under the guise of a merchant, and his action as an Etairist, information is presented about the society of the early 19th century, the economy, everyday life, the dominant ideas and controversies of the time.
