Rigas Feraios was, without a doubt, a first martyr of the Greek national uprising of 1821. At the same time, however, he is a misunderstood as well as largely unknown figure. Few things, after all, are widely known about his life and work. The book in question, written objectively and in a popular way, presents Rigas in his real dimensions, thus covering a gap in the Greek bibliography.
