Abstract
An event for 1821 was held at Arnaia Cultural Center by the Holy Metropolis of Ierissos, Mount Athos and Ardameri, in collaboration with the Municipality of Aristotelis. The event was titled “From the twilight of 1821 to the sunset of 2021”. The following spoke: Mayor Stelios Valianos, who referred to the personality of Emmanouil Papas. This was followed by a speech by the Metropolitan of Ierissos, Mount Athos and Ardameri, Theoklitos, on the topic “The contribution of the local Church of Ierissos, Mount Athos and Ardameri to the 1821 Uprising”. The event was accompanied by the Arnaia Choir with songs from the national regeneration.
