Abstract
“On the occasion of 1821” takes a different view of 1821, through a game with time and memory was designed by the Bodossakis Foundation and curated by journalist Maria Katsounaki, in the context of the foundation’s participation in the Initiative 1821–2021. Celebrities from the fields of acting, history, literature, gastronomy, economics, directing, philosophy, sociology, music, theoretical computer science, sport and civil society shared a personal thought, a reflection, an event, which connects the story of each with this great history. The speaker recalls a story from her school years where as students she picked laurels to decorate the pictures of the heroes in the school corridor for the March 25 celebration.
