Abstract

The contribution of the Greek Music Centre Phoebus Anogeianakis (KEMFA) in the compilation of the 1821 Digital Archive is implemented by Lambros Liavas, professor of ethnomusicology at the University of Athens, in collaboration with the ethnomusicologist Harry Sarris, PhD. Within the framework of the programme, the identification, indexing, digitisation and inclusion in the archive of material referring to the role and function of music and dance during the period of the national uprising took place.
