Abstract

The Theatrinon Theates Theatre Group of Giorgos Livanos, with the support of the Attica Region and the Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens, and on the occasion of the bicentenary of the Greek Revolution, presents the work “When Rigas met Mozart” by Giannis Soldatos. This is the new ambitious project of the team for which it has been preparing for a year. Rigas Velestinlis or Rigas Feraios, a Greek writer, politician, thinker and revolutionary. He is considered a national martyr and a forerunner of the 1821 Greek Revolution. In our work, a fantastic meeting takes place with Mozart to talk together about the ideal vision of liberty and independence around the world with companions of important pioneers of the revolution.” (From press release)
