Abstract
The Holy Metropolis of Fthiotida organises a series of anniversary events in honour and memory of the bicentenary of the 1821 Greek Revolution under the blessing and auspices of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. The speaker presents a complex and interesting topic such as the demarcation of the borders of the liberated Greek state. It does not refer to the pre-revolutionary period but to how the borders of Greece were drawn and shaped from the end of the struggle until the founding of the new Greek state. The speaker underlines that the demarcation of the borders was crucial as Greece then reached as far as Lamia.
