Abstract
After presenting the series of exchange rates, every four months, from 1821 to 1833, of about twenty coins – Ottoman and European, silver and gold – circulating in Greece, we will examine the relationship between the grosi [kuruş] and the other currencies and its consequences within the framework of the public financial space and, more specifically, in the state’s obligations, in the corresponding requirements and in the relevant payments.
